Broadband For Seniors

 

Broadband For Seniors provides senior Australians, aged 50 and over, with a friendly and secure environment to receive FREE - One on One - computer and internet training, from beginners who would like to learn the basics of how to use the computer and its programs, to experienced users who would like to just learn specific skills/programs. We currently have 2 volunteer tutors with different areas of expertise, who cover a range of skills, programs and abilities.

Computers are provided for you to learn on, however if you would like to learn on your personal laptop feel free to bring it in with you. We can assist you with:

 

  • General Computer Startup and Navigation

  • Computer Settings

  • Microsoft Office

  • Emailing

  • Games

  • Using Internet Search Engines - Google, Yahoo, Bing etc

  • Social Media Sites - Facebook, Twitter etc

  • Using Internet Sites - Ebay, Amazon,

  • Skype

  • Uploading Photos

  • Windows 8

  • Word Processing

  • Basic Mobile Phone Use

  • Basic Tablet Use

VOLUNTEER TUTORS WANTED.

ECHO is seeking volunteer tutors to provide one on one training in computers and internet.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience or qualifications in basic computer operations and accessing and surfing the internet.

  • Experience with emails, attachments and uploading photographic images.

  • Experience using Windows 8 and Touch Screen Computers desired, but not essential.

  • National criminal history screening certificate, or willing to obtain.
